Stopp goes stereoscopic

Filming in stereo or stereoscopy is the word that has been on everybody’s lips lately. Stopp is of course on the case, preparing, testing and starting to build a stereoscopic pipeline. With some stereo jobs already coming in this is truly exciting times for Stopp.
So when Camera Center in Gothenburg arranged a stereo seminar, Stopp’s Vfx Department grabbed their anaglyph glasses and jumped on the train to study hard. Lecturing were representatives from Greenpost and P+S Technik in Germany.

A lot of was said about workflow, cameras, rigs and various stereo techniques. A good portion of the presentation was dealing with possible pitfalls (there are many) and the importance of learning/getting help from experienced competence. There was also some hands on action where we could test a RealD system and finger on a stereo camera rig. All in all we had a nice day and picked up some good advice along the way. So watch out for some fresh stereo work coming from Stopp this spring. And now 3D glasses on!

    Hej STOPP

Hey, what type of camera systems were on each end of this incredible creation?

Looks reminiscent of the soon released Red Scarlet. I’d be interested to see what these are!
