Updated showreel for spring 2012. A variety och 3D, comp and matte paintings from the talented people at Stopp.

We were approached by Försäkringskassan (Sweden’s social insurance) trough Lowe Brindfors to create their annual overview for the year 2011. Traditionally they produce a pamflett wich are distributed to key persons across the country. This year Lowe Brindfors wanted something that was easier to access, enjoy and notice. They solution was two animated films presented together with an easy to navigate & mobile friendly  elaboration for thoose who wanted to read more.

We helped Lowe Brindfors & Försäkringskassan with character design, illustration, html-5 development, VO and sound recording & mixing as well as animation of the films. This showed as a great testament for our ability to produce all aspects of interactive projects all under one roof.

The car as a sculpture. It is considered the human’s favorite toy – the automobile. As a cult object and symbol of individual freedom, it epitomizes mobility and expresses lifestyle and luxury.

For this exhibition in the Lentos Art Museum in Austria, we built a mobile website, which uses the HTML5 standards to create a similar user experience as it would be a native application. After adding the bookmark to the homescreen, it’s not recognizeable as mobile website anymore, and can even be viewed in offline mode. The website is built on responsive web technology, which allows the frontend to adapt to different devices in horizontal or vertical orientation. Another advantage of mobile websites is that the user don’t have to go through any app store and download / install procedure, and can directly view it. In the future we might even get more relevant platforms beside iOS, Android, Windows etc., which gives it a good reason to use HTML5 in future projects.

In this second installment of Bredbandsbolaget’s new commercial campaign, agency Acne and director Oskar Bård went far beyond the fencing tentacle monster and asked us to create a film where high speed is the unmistakable message. Set in BB’s white world, we follow a girl in her armchair, surfing progressively faster and faster, illustrated by being quickly dragged away by a pack of mechanical dogs, on top of a high-speed train, sitting on top of a high-powered rocket, and the whole thing carried on BB’s shoulders.

Stopp Vfx began by creating an animatic for the whole spot, using this we could decide on camera angles and timing and for planning the shoot. The live action elements were carefully filmed to get angles and light just right to make a seamless composite with the CG world. For the more distant shots, a CG-double were used for the girl and armchair. Stopp Vfx developed the look in collaboration with the agency and director, our team worked with modelling, lighting, animation and compositing for about 6 weeks to finish the spot. Sound production, final touches and grading were also made in-house here at Stopp.
